Anthony Phillip DellaVentura, 89, of Boynton Beach, FL went to the lord on December 30, 2018, Anthony was born September 8, 1929 in New Haven CT. to the late Modestino and Rose Lettiere DellaVentura. He is survived by his brother Frank DellaVentura (Margaret) of Boynton Beach, Fl; and sister-in-law Anita DellaVentura of East Haven, Ct. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loyal friend of many years, Thomas Noble and by three brothers Michael, John and James and his sister Yolanda Bowen. He was a mathematics teacher at East Haven High School for 30 years and was the department head for over 20 of those years. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the University of New Haven.
Tony earned a B.A. degree from the University of Connecticut, a master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport and a law degree from Boston University. Upon his retirement he also was an instructor at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fl.
Tony served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany and was a Disabled Veteran. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disable American Veterans.
Anthony Phillip DellaVentura will be laid to rest with military honors at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Fl on Friday, January 4, 2019.
